DJ has been helping individuals, families, and business owners make confident financial decisions since 2012. He began his career with Raymond James Asset Management, where he supported advisors and their high-net-worth clients, foundations, and endowments on portfolio strategy and investment analysis. Today, he builds on that foundation to guide clients through financial planning, wealth management, and business exit strategies.
Growing up in a family of small business owners — including one in residential construction where he worked in carpentry — DJ developed an early appreciation for the hard work and resilience required to succeed. He also gained firsthand experience running his own small business during college, learning to navigate the realities of competition and setbacks. Those experiences give him a unique ability to relate to business owners and bring practical perspective to the financial decisions they face today, especially around growth, succession, and transition. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, DJ also holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® and Certified Exit Planning Advisor® designations. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and his MBA from the University of South Florida.
Outside of work, DJ enjoys cycling, hiking, fishing, and brewing coffee and beer. He and his wife, Stefani, a CPA at a local accounting firm, are proud parents of two children. Active in the community, DJ volunteers with organizations such as the National MS Society, Habitat for Humanity of Florida, and the Police Athletic League of St. Petersburg, where he also serves on the board. He also leads the Corporate Recruitment Committee for the Bike MS Suncoast Challenge, helping raise funds for those impacted by MS.
